Autism Awareness Month

One of my many favorite pictures of Reese. He always has the greatest smile!

Best-dressed kid on the block!
Reese-Man (and his family) holds a special place in my heart. I have known him since he was 12 years old, and shorter than me. Currently, he is 19, and about a foot and half taller than me. I was lucky enough to get to take his Senior Pictures last year, and we both loved every minute of it! We ran up and down the hall, he had the spotlight all on him, and we got fabulous pictures.

Reese-man and I have a great bond. Often times,
I will come to his house, say "Hello" as I walk in the door, and immediately Reese is yelling "Kendra! Hi!" "Sit down!" How can anyone have a bad moment when someone so anxiously wants to see you! Despite being so tall, there are so many times when Reese thinks he is much smaller than he actually is! Case in point, see below. "Umm, Reese, your legs are almost reaching the floor." He will still sit in my lap at times, at which point my 5'3" frame disappears behind his 6'3" frame.

The best thing about this session though, was the ability to give Reese-man's mama Senior Pictures, and beautiful pictures to adorn their walls and desks. Reese can often be impatient, and want to be "all-done" quickly. I so wanted to capture the Reese I know, the goofy, funny, smiling guy he is. I wanted it to be a session that his mama didn't have to worry about what others thought, a session to be able to relax and enjoy, without having to do the chasing. Reese-man's mama is one of the most selfless people I have ever met, and I am honored to call her a friend. Reese-man's Mama, you are the best. You are raising the best kids, and you are one of the best people I know. Thanks for your knowledge, your compassion, and your friendship above all else.

Kids, thanks for being gorgeous. And FUN. You make this job a dream.
